James BernardoMr. Bernardo is a professional land surveyor in private practice licensed in the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island with over 20 years of experience and continuing education in land surveying and related fields. In addition, he has also obtained a degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently the President of James Bernardo Land Surveying, LLC located in Waterford, CT. His primary responsibilities include the daily management of all responsibilities related to land surveying and business management including: land record research, field measurements, CAD drafting, civil design and boundary determination. All survey related activities undertaken by the firm are performed under his direct responsibility. He has managed and coordinated the survey activities for commercial site planning, residential subdivisions, condominium developments and numerous private property surveys.

Prior to establishing his own firm in August of 2004, Mr. Bernardo was employed at DiCesare-Bentley Engineers, Inc. as a Project Surveyor. His primary responsibilities at Dicesare-Bentley Engineers, Inc. included the management and supervision of a professional staff of field personal, land record research specialists and draftsmen as well as boundary evidence discovery and analysis.


Mr. Bernardo was the surveyor in responsible charge of the $800,000,000 Mohegan Sun, Sunburst Expansion project and also worked on the design team for the City of New London’s Fort Trumbull Redevelopment Project.


Mr. Bernardo has testified in numerous court cases as an expert witness on real property boundary matters.
